Our Story
Mission Statement
“Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be good.”
I created Life is Good Today because I believe life is good — and because there is always something worth appreciating, even in the hardest moments.
Growing up, I spent several summers in Key West, Florida, at a close friend’s house. Those summers became a source of peace, perspective, and simplicity for me. Surrounded by palm trees and ocean air, I felt the weight of everyday life lift. Those memories became the inspiration behind our palm tree logo and the message that drives this brand.
As a student-athlete and baseball player, I’ve learned that life and sports have a lot in common. You don’t win every game. You don’t get a hit every at-bat. Sometimes you strike out, sometimes you get knocked down, and sometimes you find yourself in a tough inning. But baseball has taught me that one bad inning doesn’t decide the game. You don’t need to win every at-bat to love the game you’re playing, and you don’t need a perfect day to find something good in it.
That lesson — that a bad inning doesn’t define the game — is one I’ve had to apply off the field too.
My own mental health struggles have shown me that these challenges are real and deserve to be taken seriously. They taught me the importance of leaning on others, supporting one another, and understanding that asking for help is not a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of courage.
More than anything, those experiences taught me something I now carry into this brand: life is too precious to spend waiting for it to begin.
So many of us live with the mindset that we’ll be happy when we reach the next milestone, overcome the next obstacle, or finally arrive at wherever we think we’re supposed to be. But the more I’ve grown, the more I’ve realized that the life we keep waiting for? We’re already living it.
And if we’re always waiting for tomorrow, we risk missing the good that exists right in front of us.
It’s not called Life Will Be Good Tomorrow.
It’s Life is Good Today.
That doesn’t mean every day is easy. It doesn’t mean pretending that struggles don’t exist. It simply means believing that even on the worst days, there is still something worth being grateful for, something worth fighting for, and something worth appreciating.
Through this brand, I want to remind people to embrace the present, to know that mental health struggles are real and valid, and that they never have to face them alone. More than a hat, I want Life is Good Today to be a reminder — to slow down, appreciate what we have, support the people around us, and choose hope even when life feels uncertain.
As this company grows, I hope to use it as a way to give back to communities and organizations that support mental health awareness and help others realize what I have come to believe myself:
Sometimes the life we’re waiting for is the life we’re already living.
Life is Good Today.
The Brand Behind the Hat
Meet the Founder

I'm Henry Ogeneski, the founder of Life is Good Today.
I'm a high school student athlete from Guilford, Connecticut, and a person who loves baseball, spending time outdoors, and appreciating the simple things in life.
I started Life is Good Today with the hope of sharing something I've come to believe deeply: that life doesn't have to be perfect to be good.
What began as an idea for a hat has grown into something much more meaningful to me. My hope is that Life is Good Today becomes a community built around optimism, authenticity, and the reminder that there is always something worth appreciating in the present moment.
Thank you for being a part of the journey.
